Almost all people with diabetes now use a pen device to inject. They're a convenient way to deliver a precise dose with minimum fuss.Increasingly, newly diagnosed people with diabetes as well as experienced insulin syringe users are choosing the insulin pen as their preferred choice of injection device.
In 1961, BD introduced the first disposable hypodermic syringe offering people with diabetes a more comfortable and convenient method of injecting insulin.
Since then, the BD Micro-Fine Insulin Syringe range has been greatly improved upon. This pack of 100 disposable needles are made from a special surgical grade of stainless steel engineered with optimal point geometry and have been inspected to ensure a consistent high quality for smooth, easy injection. What's more, each needle has been coated with a special Micro-Bonded lubricant for a more comfortable injection.
An essential part of achieving good glycaemic control is accurate dosing. These syringes are graded in 1 unit intervals and are ideal for doses over 50 units. It is important to choose the size of the syringe according to the volume of insulin to be injected.
