Super pleased to be drinking PURE water now and without having to buy lots of plastic bottles! The machine is bigger (taller when put together) than I realised but I’m really happy with it - the quality of the water, the ease of use and cleaning it, and the fan isn’t noisy thankfully, plus it brings a little warmth to my kitchen and as it’s currently winter that’s a good thing!I decided not to put the handle on the glass jug as it says not to lift it with one hand - which I’d be tempted to do but without the handle on it, that’s just not possible!
The cycle time is definitely a LOT quicker when putting boiled water in, rather than cold - saves about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Friend said it takes a while to get used to the taste of the purified water - ie lack of chemical taste - she’s right, but didn’t take long and definitely worth persevering.
Had a hard time working out how to get the silver filter cover off - an online video demo would be great - luckily I have a friend who recommended this distiller to me and I watched her do a demo on her’s - in a nutshell, it takes a bit of force and needs to be pushed in/up & away (that is, with the top part of the machine turned upside down on the counter) - it apparently gets easier after a few uses.
Looking into getting a glass container with a tap to store the water - lots of reviews aren’t too favourable, so more research needed on my part. Not used a distiller before but am really happy with it and would happily recommend it,

The jug leaks. The noise it is a bit annoying and materials are poor quality. The jug handle is weak and you think that you are going to drop the jug full of water.- Previous
