Preparation and Usage
Feeding instructions: Large dogs, e.g. Labrador, feed 1 stick per day. This is a chewy treat that is only suitable for dogs 25 kg and over. It is not suitable for young puppies under 4 months. To maintain quality and freshness after opening, use the reseal device. Use each sachet within 14 days of opening. Fresh drinking water should always be available.

Having had two greyhound bitches that retired from racing we soon learned that the breed is renowned for having dental issues. Our vet's explanation is that because of the long and narrow shape of the greyhound jaw and the way in which the teeth are placed, that makes them more susceptible to teeth and gums issues. That is exacerbated when, in racing kennels, greyhounds are commonly fed with wet foods (such as stewed offals) that causing an accumulation of build-up of food particles and tartar around the teeth and gums which probably are never brushed and most certainly never 'see' a dental chew. I cannot comment with any qualification on racing kennels feeding methods for grehounds in work, but with our first bitch I can confirm we had significant vet bills for teeth descaling and, eventually, large numbers of teeth extractions too. Although with our first bitch we made some attempts at teeth cleaning it was never a regular routine. With our present bitch, though, we are attempting to ameliorate the teeth issues by daily brushing with dog-specific tooth paste and a daily dental chew. It's still early days, but her teeth appear to be much cleaner than were those of our previous bitch and at her recent vet visit for vaccine boosters and a general MOT, the vet raised no comments about her teeth/gums.To that end and to try to reduce the cost of the daily dental chews, I decided to shop online for a bulk purchase instead of purchasing in our local supermarket. I cannot say the cost reduction was substantial, but the service from OneBuy was exemplary, the large carton of chews arriving surprisingly quickly.
