About Bic Pencils
First founded in 1945, French company Bic is best known as the manufacturer of affordable ballpoint pens, but their inventiveness doesn’t end with ink! This giant of disposables also produces many high quality, affordable colouring pencils for children.
Bic colouring pencils let your child express their creativity: they’ll be scribbling out of the lines and creating colouring worlds of their own in no time! They’re so good that we at OnBuy just had to dedicate an entire edit just to them. Read on to find out more!
Bic Kids Evolution
The Bic Kids Evolution line is the company’s most famous and popular line of colouring pencils for little artists. These pencils have been around for almost thirty years and Bic have spent those decades wisely, improving on the Evolution design and making sure these Bic pencils are as easy to use as they are practical.
The Evolution name comes from the fact that these pencils don’t use traditional wood, but a special synthetic resin that will never splinter if your child breaks or chews the pencil. So whether your child accidentally snaps their pencil from pressing too hard or gnaws their pencil when they’re concentrating, you won’t have to worry about them being harmed by these Bic pencils.
There are two different shapes of Bic Evolution pencils: triangular and hexagonal. Both versions have been designed to make gripping them easy, even for very small children. Another bonus to these edgy designs is that if your child drops them on the table they’ll stay stable in one place, rather than rolling off the edge of their desk.
Bic pencils sets
You won’t find any Bic pencils being sold on their own in this edit, they’re all a part of a kaleidoscopic collection! Each Bic colouring pencils set contains multiple vibrant colouring pencils with shades from all over the rainbow. The minimum number is eight, which gives your child one of every essential colour they need to complete their creation.
Other colouring pencils sets are larger and have more nuanced shades, all the way up to thirty or more! They’re great for older children whose skills have improved and want more complexity out of their colouring projects.
Many of these pencil sets don’t just come with pencils, but other Bic stationary as well! Some packs come with their own sharpener, which lets your special star keep the points of their colouring pencils nice and sharp. Other colouring sets in this edit pair their colouring pencils with a collection of felt tip pens. These pens are coloured similarly to the pencils, but their different properties give your child more options to play with - brilliant!
