Fake chains, these are NOT Shimano but cheap copies
I bought 4 of these and unfortunately they are not original Shimano but copies. These will do damage to your drivetrain over time.I was able to return for a full refund however it took time and you loose on the return postage. Don’t waste your time and money, watch the YouTube video below.

It appears to be a genuine new shimano CN HG701 chain, however the bag was not sealed and the chain lacks preservative lubrication, so will definately require some lubrication prior to use, also the link is not shimano, it is a simple 11 speed link. Genuine Shimano Chain At A Great Price
Difficult to find a competitively priced HG701 chain here in the UK, so took a chance on this one from the seller Lifeplus here on OnBuy.I placed the order on 20th March and it arrived two to three weeks later. I was very happy to see upon openeing it that it was the correct chain, and that it also included the quick link.
I have included a couple of images of the actual chain I was sent, and aslo, would be happy to purchase the same from this seller again.

Went out for first ride on new chain, completed 50 miles in dry weather…. Noticed I have a clicking noise on my return, inspected and found it to be coming from the quick release linkage…. Removed the quick release linkage and one side fell apart on me……1 person found this review helpful.
