Whether you’re looking forward to showing off your patriotism in red, white and blue, or simply buzzing about the four-day weekend, we’re all excited for the Platinum Jubilee this June - so we might as well throw a royally good party to celebrate!

If you didn’t get Platinum Party at the Palace tickets, don’t worry; here are six garden party ideas to recreate the celebrations yourself.

Call it Platinum Party at My Place, if you will!

1. Prepare a feast of British classics

Rival the Big Jubilee Lunch with your very own Great British menu, featuring scotch eggs, quiche, and our favourite twist on a certified classic - barbecued coronation chicken burgers!

Try them yourself:

Once you’ve got your food sorted, set out a banquet fit for a Queen with some Jubilee-inspired tableware.

2. Welcome guests with a tipple or two!

Before your guests arrive, prepare a jug of Pimms, some G&Ts, or get out your cocktail making kit and show off your skills with patriotic red, white and blue versions of your faves.

Or if you’re really looking to impress, wow your guests with an even boozier take on the classic Buck's Fizz (or, as we like to call it, a Buckingham Fizz!).

Go on, give ‘em a go:

Alcohol-free? Swap out the spirits for soft drinks instead!

3. Blast some British bangers

Give the Platinum Party line-up a run for their money with a killer playlist of British hits!

To inspire your setlist, here are some of our faves:

4. Go big with your decorations

It wouldn’t be a Jubilee bash without some classic British decorations - we’re talking bunting, flags, streamers, balloons, ribbons, fairy lights, the lot!

Stock up on art supplies and keep the kids busy over the bank holiday weekend by creating your own bunting, or check out our full range of Jubilee decorations to find everything you need to make your party one to remember.

5. Decide on a dress code

Formal or fancy dress? Whichever you prefer, every right royal knees up needs a dress code!

  • British icons (think Ginger Spice and glam rock Elton)
  • Royals through the years
  • Queen’s Guards and Beefeaters
  • Best of British film, TV, stage and literature
  • Fabulous fascinators

6. Let the games commence!
