Welcome back to OnBuy's To-Do List blog series. We're almost half way through 2017 - how did that happen?! With the sun out (for most of us) and a handful of bank holiday weekends to take advantage of, we've got pretty high expectations for May. Why are we so confident, you ask? We suggest you see for yourselves...

In the mix this month is a hotly anticipated novel from the author of The Girl on the Train, an on-trend tech release from none other than Google (!) and a barrel of laughs from your soon-to-be favourite The Daily Show comic. Get stuck in!

Just weeks after his White House Correspondents' Dinner speech sparked a social media frenzy, The Daily Show's Hasan Minhaj has only gone and landed an hour-long special on Netflix. The stand-up show, Homecoming King is "based on true events from Minhaj's first generation Indian-American experience. Navigating between two worlds, it follows Minhaj's arrival in the U.S., interracial love, racism, bullying, and his family's quest to achieve the elusive American Dream." Available May 23.

Paramore are back with their first new album in four years, but After Laughter isn't necessarily what fans would expect from the pop-punk trio. With a brand new sound, another new line-up, (the album marks the return of original drummer Zac Farro, who quit the band in 2010) and a huge lead single entitled Hard Times, Paramore have never looked - or indeed sounded - more defiantly joyous. Get your headphones ready, the album comes out May 12.
