Looking to buy WAGO?
If you’re looking for a set of reliable, safe and easy to use electrical connectors, serial buses and other fittings, German company WAGO should be at the top of your list for consideration. This company has become a household name among electricians for their smart, innovative designs and dependable manufacturing consistency.
Who are WAGO?
WAGO’s full name is WAGO Kontakttechnik, and they're headquartered in Minen, a Medieval market town built on the banks of the river Weser in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. They were founded in 1951 as a family-run business. Thanks to a variety of impressive engineering innovations they saw a lot of growth over the next sixty years.
Today WAGO is a large multinational company with offices and manufacturing plants around the world. They’ve got bases in their home nation of Germany, as well as the People’s Republic of China, Poland the United States and many more. This growth has seen the company generate over 900 million Euros of consolidated sales.
Wago’s most famous products are their specially designed electrical connectors, called cage clamps. These patented connectors use a unique stainless steel clamping mechanism designed to automatically splice solid or stranded wire into an electrical system without the need for tools. According to WAGO themselves, using these products in your work can reduce the time it takes to wire a system by up to 75%. Better yet, these secure connectors provide such a solid connection that they can be maintenance free if they’re installed under the proper containment conditions.
The WAGO cage clamps themselves are mounted well within their housing. This means that all the exposed wire is contained safely, guaranteeing that the conductor does not touch any live parts.
Additionally, a small hole is built into WAGO connector clamps that allow electricians to test the voltage without having to remove the wires, making electrical tests incredibly simple and short. Wago products aren’t just convenient - they’re safe!
As well as making electrical connectors, WAGO also does a roaring trade in electronic interfaces. WAGO’s interface modules, which connect electronic devices and electrical systems together so that different devices can interact with one another. If your computer system and machinery aren’t talking to one another, this kind of WAGO product might be just what you need to get back on track.
