Demolition Man DVD [1999] Description

Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes go at it amid a dazzling cyber-future in this explosive hit. In 2032 arch-criminal Simon Phoenix (Snipes) awakens from a 35-year deep freeze in CryoPrison to find a serene, nonviolent Los Angeles ready for the taking. Unable to deal with Phoenix's brutal 1990's style, officials-seek an old-fashioned cop to fight old-fashion crime. They revive Sgt. John Spartan (Stallone), unjustly serving a CryoPrison sentence because of his last encounter with Phoenix. Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt (TV's Law and Order) also uphold the law in this 'terrific mix of action and humour' (Joel Siegel, Good Morning America/ABC-TV). Special Features: Interactive Menus Scene Access.

Demolition Man DVD Movie

Was very happy with the quality of this movie, having not seen it in years.
Ironically, the future portrayed in the movie is sadly being mirrored in modern day society.
Sly Stallone is an actor I can take or leave, but what I really liked about the movie was the futuristic cars and general setting, plus Sly playing the fish out of water, having been cryogenically frozen some 36 years prior.
Sandra Bullock adds some glamour to proceedings as she continually questions the rules of the new age and sees in Spartan (Stallone), someone who just wants to get the job done, screw the rules.
Wesley Snipes plays the bad guy, and as a Martial Artist in real life, kicks some ass in this movie. He plays the part well, with the necessary swagger, and in the new age of non violence, is like watching a fox being let loose in a chicken coop!
