About Gorilla Glues & Adhesives
Warding off predators and rivals in the forests of sub-saharan Africa means that Gorillas have to be incredibly strong, but even these majestic creatures would struggle to pull apart something sealed together with Gorilla Glue!
Gorilla glue was founded in 1991 after founder Mark Singer discovered a special recipe of polyethylene glue being used to make wooden furniture in Indonesia. Seeing the primal strength of this sticky stuff reminded Singer of the king of primates, and the brand was born.
Since then Gorilla Glue has gone from strength to strength (literally!) with their team creating adhesives that can be used on almost any surface you could require. In our Gorilla glue & adhesive enclosure, you’ll find a fantastic array of glues, bonding gels, epoxies and sealants!
All purpose Gorilla glues
Gorilla Glue has ruled the glue kingdom for so long thanks to their versatile all purpose glues that can bond to multiple surfaces. This kind of adhesives will work on wood, ceramics, metal, stone and even fabric, sticking things together with equal strength.
Some Gorilla Glue products don’t just bond similar materials to one another, but will secure things that have nothing in common. So if you need to fix a piece of plastic back onto a steel frame, Gorilla glues and adhesives will keep them together. These fantastic products are perfect for sticking in a kitchen drawer or your DIY toolkit, ready to whip out for some intense bonding exercises.
Gorilla glue for special applications
All purpose sealants are fantastic for having around in an emergency, but if you want an even stronger bond for your broken things, it’s time to grab a bottle of specialised Gorilla glue. Some of these products use special recipes that are designed for a specific job. A great example is Gorilla-brand epoxy, for construction work. These two-part products are fantastic for reinforcing bolts or repairing fibreglass and will dry in minutes into a nigh-invisible transparent sheen.
Others specialised Gorilla adhesives can only stick to one surface, but provide an iron-strong hold that can last for years. One example is Gorilla wood glue, which is a carpenter’s best friend. These products dry with a natural colour for the cleanest possible bond lines for any woodworking projects.
Many Gorilla glues & adhesives are completely waterproof, and are suitable for outdoor applications as well on objects that never leave the house. There’s no need to throw away broken garden furniture again when you’ve got a tube of Gorilla Glue.
