Grass - Bunny's Tails Lagurus Ovatus
This is a dwarf compact selection that makes neat mounds with numerous perfect fluffy 'bunnies tails'. This hardy annual reaches the height of 20cm.
Sow indoors for surest results, from January to May, 0.5cm deep, in trays of compost. Water well and enclose in a clear, plastic bag to retain humidity. Place on a kitchen windowsill. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal. Seedlings usually appear in 28-42 days. If not, place tray in the refrigerator for two weeks, then return to the warmth. Transplant seedlings individually to 7.5cm pots when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions, before planting out into moist, fertile soil, from May to August, 90cm apart, when frosts are over. Flowers from August to October, the following year.
