Based on the critically acclaimed book 'The True Meaning of Smekday', an alien race called the Boov ‘peacefully’ invade Earth to hide from their sworn enemy, the Gorg.
To celebrate their arrival, a Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons) tries to invite his race to a housewarming party - however, he ends up accidentally inviting every alien in the whole universe, including the Gorgs!
Banished by Boov leader Smek (Steve Martin), Oh ends up on the run with 14-year-old Tip (Rihanna), a girl trying to find her mum (Jennifer Lopez) who she lost in the invasion. Together they team up and set out to clear up the mess, reunite Tipp’s family and save the planet - can they pull it off?
