Description

Genuine Scottish shilling keychain.

Historically, a shilling was given to new recruits when they enlisted into the British Army or Navy – this is where the phrase ‘to take the King’s shilling’ or ‘to take the Queens shilling’ originates from.

Each coin is cleaned, polished, hand drilled and hung from a 25mm strong split ring.

The cupronickel coin is approx 23mm in diameter (just under an inch) and hangs 55mm (2 1/4" )

Please remember that this coin is circulated and will show signs of age and wear.

The keyring comes in a hard, branded gift box
