Silhouette - for noticeably smoother skin
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a safe and effective technology for permanent hair reduction. As with the laser method, IPL hair removal is based on the conversion of light into thermal energy. Here, however, a plurality of light spectra is used, whereby a larger surface can be treated. With a flash lamp, the hair roots are removed by the resulting heat.
Because sclerotherapy is possible only during the hair growth phase, but only about 20 to 30 percent of the hair is in this phase at any one time, several IPL applications are needed. Depending on the area to be applied, skin and hair type, up to eight sessions should be applied at intervals of several weeks in order to achieve the desired result.

How does Silhouette IPL 805 work?
Help in hair treatment
The IPL 805 sends pulses of light that are absorbed from the root of the hair.
Hair follicle heating
These light pulses lead to selective heating of the hair shaft, which stimulates the hair follicles to enter the resting phase.
The hair follicle and root are deactivated
With just a few treatments, existing hair is shed and new hair growth is reduced.
Keep in mind that all body hair goes through the various stages of the growth cycle. A complete growth cycle is needed to achieve complete hair removal.
