Soaring Christmas Sales on OnBuy Gets the BBC's Attention

We are delighted to announce that OnBuy is in yet another feature on the BBC!

Keen to find out more about consumer buying patterns in the run-up to Christmas, Alastair Fee - Business Correspondent at BBC South - visited OnBuy's headquarters in Poole to talk to the team.

As OnBuy's Christmas sales are flying through the roof (watch out, Rudolph!), Alastair was eager to call on us as experts in the online retail sphere for our insights into Christmas sales buying patterns.

Noting that Christmas sales had begun even earlier than last year, helping multiply our sales figures six-fold from 2017, Cas Paton, entrepreneur and founder of OnBuy, says: "We listen to our customers – and given the change in consumer buying patterns, we'll certainly be starting our Christmas marketing activity earlier in 2019."

"The OnBuy Team work hard to ensure [shoppers] can find the best bargains..."

Joanne Mitchell, Marketing Manager, OnBuy

Joanne Mitchell, OnBuy's Marketing Manager, tells us: "Savvy shoppers prefer to buy online, and the OnBuy Team work hard to ensure they can find the best bargains on OnBuy – showcased brilliantly by our OnBuy Deals platform, which allows sellers to submit special offers for our customers to snap up!"

Solidifying OnBuy's position as the UK's answer to Amazon, the report was broadcasted on BBC South on the 6th of November 2018.

And in local news, the Bournemouth Echo ran a feature on OnBuy on the 7th of November 2018. Calling us 'Amazon's Dorset competitor', the article explores our phenomenal growth and partnerships with PayPal and HotUKDeals, amongst other exciting updates.
