I opened the package and removed the laser,, not only did it have a battery, but a charger too.Without the battery, the unit is very light.
It has a good black finish on it, probably sprayed, I don’t know.
Only thing I’m not fussed about is the end cap (removable), I can’t see the point of it making pretty patterns like a kaleidoscope,,,, so,,, I take it off.
Now, on a serious note. These are not toys. You’ll get yourself arrested if cause injury to any living object by pointing it at the eyes, also airplanes, boats, trains etc etc.
use it to point out stars, objects etc.
have fun but be safe.

Fantastic.
This item was perfect. As an amateur astronomer I love the night sky and when discussing the stars with my kids, wife or friends it can be difficult to point out exact stars and constellation. This laser is powerful enough to not only point out stars at night but can easily be seen during the day. My friend also borrowed this for a work presentation he was doing in a lecture hall to point out specific things on a projector screen. The charge lasts for a long time aswell so that's just a bonus.
