Unwins Organic Lollo Rossa Lettuce Red Senorita have richly-coloured, textured leaves, and forms dense heads. The attractive red and green frilled leaves have a crisp texture with a great peppery flavour.
A long-cropping variety that shows good disease resistance and is rich in anti-oxidants.

Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds thinly, 1 cm deep, in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Place in a warm spot (10-15 C) and keep moist at all times.
Planting Out
After the risk of frost has passed, plant seedlings into their harvest positions, 25 cm apart, with 30 cm between rows, when they have 3-4 true leaves.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly, 1 cm deep, directly in the harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times and thin seedlings to 25 cm apart.
Advice
Keep well watered. Small sowings every 3 weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Use netting to protect plants from birds and insects.
