(B1M) Long Thread Linear B Potentiometer Guitar Pot T18GL Description

10mm Long Thread Linear Track 16mm Guitar Pot with Solder Lugs.

This is one item
of 16mm body, linear carbon track potentiometer made by Alpha Taiwan.  They have solder lug connections and a longer than usual threaded part on the shaft.  There are various track values available on the different variations.  The total shaft length is 17mm, of which the threaded part is 10mm long and the T18 splined turning part is 7mm.  The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter.  The nut and washer are provided.  These are used on some modern electric guitars where the longer thread enables them to reach through the body.  The maximum track power rating is 0.2 Watt and the track tolerance is +/-10%.

The "B" prefix before the track resistance value denotes a linear track taper.  If you have a pot with a track label of B503, this is a B50K where 3 is the number of zeros after 50 in Ohms.  A 502 would be 5K, a 472 would be 4K7 etc.  Sometimes pots may also be labelled with the B as a suffix i.e. 50KB.
