Adopted PIR Technology, if the lamp placed horizontally, the vertical sensing range is bigger than horizontal sensing range, separately is 120° and 50°, then the sensing angle will be opposite when the lamp put vertically.
Here is the installation tips for your reference:
1. Please put the light vertically on where you always pass left and right, like hallway, bedroom, etc.
2. If you want to install it in wardrobe, you could put it horizontally on the top of the wardrobe.

These are perfect I already have one for inside my front door so I got 2 more as these save on electric as prices have risen so much. Had to send pictures of the light not working and waiting for a reply

I am very happy with these lights, they are perfect for my dark pantry which has no electricity. They are very easy to fit having magnetic strips meaning that they are easy to remove for charging.
