Pepper (Sweet) Afterglow Description

Unwins Sweet Pepper Afterglow Seeds produce sweet, juicy vibrant yellow peppers. Sow indoors between the months of February and April.

Packing lots of flavour, these sweet peppers can be chucked into any dish or eaten raw with a dip!

Sow: Feb to Apr
Harvest: Jul to Oct

Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module seed tray, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and cover with a thin layer of fine compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18-25 C or cover the tray with cling film in a warm room. Keep moist.

Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When plants have 4-6 leaves, transplant to 8 cm pots of potting compost. Maintain a minimum temperature of 15 C. Pinch growing tips to encourage bushy growth.

Planting Out
Plant into 25 cm containers once roots begin to come through the bottom of the 8 cm pot. Keep indoors on a windowsill, in a greenhouse, or a sunny sheltered patio spot. Stems may need support.

Aftercare
Water regularly and feed weekly with a liquid tomato fertiliser as fruits start to swell.
