Pumpkin Goosebumps F1 Description
Unwins Pumpkin Goosebumps F1 are unusual warty-skinned fruits. They are perfect for Halloween. So if you're looking for the scariest pumpkin around, covered in dark lumps and bumps - Goosebumps is for you!
The medium-sized fruits, of 3-6kg, are especially appealing to children with their 'spooky' appearance.

Harvest: Sep to Oct
Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds individually on edge in small pots of firm, moist seed compost 2 cm deep. Cover pots with cling film and place in warmth at 15-18 C. As seedlings develop, remove cling film and grow on under cool, light conditions, but not in direct sunlight. Keep moist.
Planting Out
Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out in cropping positions, allowing 90 cm between plants, after risk of frost has passed. Water and feed regularly.
Sowing Outdoors
Water sowing positions, then sow two or three seeds close together in a group 2 cm deep, allowing 90 cm between each group. After germination, leave only the strongest seedling in each group. Keep well watered in dry spells.
Aftercare
Pumpkins are thirsty and hungry plants. Water freely and frequently, especially during dry spells. Once fruits start to swell, feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser. Grow and ripen best in full sun.
