Recommended dose Symptomatic treatment of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs Adults from 500 mg (2 tablets) to 1000 mg (4 tablets) daily. The drug should be taken with a meal.
Duration of treatment Symptomatic treatment of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs Treatment may last from several weeks to several months. Taking more than the recommended dose of Rostil If you take more than the prescribed dose of the drug, immediately consult a doctor or pharmacist. If you forget to take Rostil Continue taking your medicine without increasing your next dose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask to your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. 1. What Rostil is and what it is used for
Rostil is a drug in the form of tablets. It contains the active substance calcium dobesylate monohydrate, which
acts on the capillary epithelium, vein walls and lymphatic vessels. The drug reduces
capillary permeability, increases their strength by preventing the formation of exudates
and improving microcirculation.
It increases the tension of the vein wall, preventing blood stagnation and the formation of blood clots. Intensifies the synthesis
collagen reduces plasma viscosity increasing its flow through peripheral tissues.
It works to seal the vessels within the lymphatic system, reducing swelling
which leads to pain relief and a feeling of heaviness in the limbs.
Intended use
Treatment of symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs (pain, cramps,
tingling, swelling, skin changes due to blood stagnation).
2. What you need to know before taking Rostil
When not to take Rostil
- if you are allergic to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients of it
medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Rostil:
- if you have severe kidney failure;
- if you suffer from chronic recurrent catarrhal gastritis;
- if you have a stomach ulcer and / or duodenal ulcer.
Other Drugs and Rostil
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines taken by the patient
now or recently, and about medicines you plan to take.
There are no data on the interaction of calcium dobesilate with other drugs.
Rostil with food and drink
The drug should be taken with a meal.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have
child, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy
The drug must not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy.
The drug should be used during pregnancy only if the doctor considers it absolutely necessary.
Breast-feeding
The drug should not be used during breastfeeding.
Driving vehicles and operating machinery
The drug has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
