These tablets contain 400mg of folic acid - the recommended daily amount indicated by the NHS. Folic acid plays an important part in the healthy development of your baby neural tube and helps to prevent conditions such as spina bifida and other defects. As well as folic acid, an essential vitamin to take when pregnant is iron which helps to aid the absorption of oxygen and ensures a healthy flow of oxygenated blood to your baby. Additionally, this blend features the addition of ginger - a root herb commonly used to help settle stomachs and thought to help relieve the unpleasant symptoms of nausea and sickness commonly experienced by many during the first trimester of pregnancy. Vitamin D helps to regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in your body, ensuring both you and your baby's muscle and bone health is the best it can be.
