Reaper Bones Minotaur Description
A 25mm heroic scale model from Reaper Miniatures Bones range. Sculpted by Jason Weibe and manufactured in Reaper's special polymer. Supplied unpainted and may require some assembly (superglue works wonderfully if this is the case). To give an idea of how this figure looks painted, we've included a couple of photos of ones painted by Rich Burge and StudioSFS.
Reaper Bones is a polymer plastic, slightly flexible, and highly durable. Although Reaper say you can paint Bones without priming, our experience is that this is only the case if using their own paints, and in most other cases you should wash them in mild detergent with cool water, rinse and leave to dry before priming. The best primers to use are brush-one types or Army Painter aerosols (but not most other aerosols, because the solvents used can mean the primer never fully dries and leaves a sticky surface). Any mould lines should be removed with a sharp scalpel. If the figures arrive with any bent parts, or you just want to adjust the posture, hold the figure with tongs or in a colander, and dip it into boiling or near boiling water for at least a minute or two. Remove it from the water, reposition the part, and immediately dunk it into a bowl of ice water for at least a minute.
