The tablet coating includes: Opadry II 85F32876 yellow (polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 4000, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, quinoline yellow E104).
Action: rutoside contained in the drug strengthens blood vessels and reduces their permeability, additionally protects against oxidation vitamin C, which is involved in the formation of collagen and hemoglobin.
Dosage: the recommended dose of Rutinoscorbin is: prophylactically: from 1 to 2 tablets a day; in states of vitamin C deficiency: from 1 to 2 tablets 2-4 times a day.
Children under 6 years of age should be used as prescribed.
Contraindications: Rutinoscorbin should not be taken if you are allergic to rutoside and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Other contraindications include suffering from oxalate urolithiasis or a history of it and diseases associated with excessive iron accumulation.
Storage: the drug should be stored out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 25 degrees C.
Store in the original package in order to protect from light and moisture.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
Your pharmacist will advise you on how to dispose of medicines no longer used.
Side effects: when using vitamin C at doses greater than 600mg daily, the following may occur: very rarely: allergic reactions, pain and dizziness, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, fatigue.
Other side effects that may occur in a small number of patients are skin redness, increased urination, and kidney stones.
Very high doses of vitamin C (greater than 10g per day) can cause water electrolyte disturbances, lysis (decomposition) of red blood cells and a significant weakening of the action of cobalamin (vitamin B12).
If you notice these symptoms, stop using the medicine.
Interactions: vitamin C contained in the drug increases the absorption of metal compounds, aluminum; used together with deferoxamine may have an adverse effect on the heart at an early stage of treatment; may increase the harmful effects of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) on your stomach; enhances the effects of paracetamol and coumarin anticoagulants; reduces the effectiveness of disulfiram, and when used together with it can cause urine crystal formation; long-term high doses may affect the excretion of some medicines.
Warnings and precautions: Do not take higher doses than recommended, and talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using
if you have a rare metabolic disease that can lead to the breakdown of red blood cells and anemia, or if you are using sulphonamides.
If you have kidney problems, you should not take more than 5 tablets a day.
If the patient secretes excessive oxalic acid, suffers from gout, gout, cystinuria, hypokalemia or hyperkalemia, high doses of vitamin C are not recommended.
Children under 6 years of age should be given Rutinoscorbin as prescribed by their doctor.
Vitamin C may affect the results of tests for blood sugar or blood in your stools.
Before taking these tests, tell your doctor that you are taking Rutinoscorbin.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
Vitamin C passes into breast milk and crosses the placental barrier.
Rutinoscorbin contains quinoline yellow, therefore it may cause allergic reactions.
If you take more medicine than recommended, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
At very high doses, diarrhea may occur, there is a risk of hemolysis, nephrolithiasis, water and electrolyte disturbances, as well as significant attenuation of cobalamin (vitamin B12).
If you miss a dose, do not top it up with a double dose.
