For projects that don’t require your snaps to be hidden, you can use the other kind of Prym snaps: hammer-in ones. Also known as press fasteners, these snap buttons can be inserted through a carefully cut hole in your fabric and come with four pieces instead of just two. Press one half of each part through the fabric and hammer or press together to the corresponding piece to secure it in place. You can then fasten the fabric closed.
