Agonies Revealed

The book provides an interesting insight into the personal and private lives of the early Victorians in particular. Many of the entries are enciphered and Alice Clay’s perceptive introduction includes a useful account as to how some of them can be rewardingly deciphered. As a reproduction, the print quality of the book is good, and the binding quality is more than adequate.
