The Boys In Blue (DVD) Description
Sergeant Cannon and PC Ball run the Police Station in the sleepy town of Little Botham. When the station is threatened with closure due to lack of crime by the Chief Constable (Eric Sykes), they decide to invent some crimes to justify their existence. The Boys In Blue DVD
Watching this film was a nostalgic trip down memory lane for me, as I saw it a the cinema upon release. A remake of Will Hay's Ask A Policeman, it's not as good as the original, Cannon & Ball are not nearly as strong as the teaming of Will Hay, Moore Marriott & Graham Moffat in the original, but the supporting cast help make up for it & it has a few laugh out load moments.Disc picture quality is good, though it is in 4:3 rather than 16:9 anamorphic.
