That said, I do find the On-Off button misplaced, as you often inadvertently turn the trimmer off if moving the hand up when shaving the head and need to hold it upside down. On the bottom as on my previous units works better for me, but others might hold it differently so it wouldn't be a problem.
BATTERY/ACCESSORIES:
Battery life is so far very good and it has basic combs for shorter trimming, plus a little brush to clean and oil to replenish the blades. Charging is a breeze through a supplied cable via USB, although it came charged to go.
IN USE:
I thought long and hard before buying this, and read as much information on specifications that I could find as I need something to get as close a shave as possible as I'm unable to use razors, so the "0-Gap" appealed to me. Straight out of the box I was disappointed though as it's probably closer to 1mm which is still fine for most I should think, but leaves a slightly uneven look if that's what you're after across the facial area when not using any of the combs. That said...
WITH A BIT OF MINOR MODIFICATION it now gets very close to a Zero Gap, and probably as close as is Safe to go with a trimmer of this sort. There are several online tutorials on how to do this, and it's super simple.
GOOD MOTOR: Of all the previous trimmers I've had, this VGR-082 has a more smooth and more powerful motor than all of them. Purrs like a kitten...
CONCLUSION:
Overall, I'm Super Pleased with this trimmer which does a FAB job, and after fifty years of being unable to use a razor due to a skin condition, this is about as Close as you'll ever get as an alternative which is why I'm now buying another as backup!
