Also known as a scuffle hoe - a useful addition to any gardener's armoury in the fight against weeds.

A Really Popular tool in the US and the continent where it's know as a shuffle hula hoe that has and is gaining favour this side of the pond. It works just below the surface where its sharp blades cut on both the push and the pull stroke. Its by far the quickest hoe out there and now a massive personal favourite, i just wish I had tried it sooner.
Our hoes, like our other tools, are built with the gardener in mind using long back friendly sculpted handles and sharped cutting heads to ease though the soil.

Working for the family business in the garden tool trade (started by my Grandparents Don and Elieen Winter in 1974) I was fortunate to have access to lots of new shiny garden tools but always found myself reverting to the tools used, owned and made by my grandfather and great grandfather (Arthur Morris), these tools had been handed down to me along with the stories of how they were made, why they were loved, how to look after them and tips for monster tomato's!
I looked at the tools we were buying and selling and realised there was nothing like these old tools that had lasted at least one lifetime (sometimes more) and were still going strong. I wanted my new tools to be loved and looked after like the old ones, so I looked back to my roots and started making tools like they used to!
Greenman Tools are made using sustainable Ash for the handles and have beautiful stainless or half brite steel heads. These tools have undergone many stages of development and have been put through their paces by various gardening groups and individuals from green-fingered professionals to enthusiastic beginners and we are now proud to shout about their quality, functionality and good looks! In a world where we have become too used to a buy cheap, throw away and buy again society, we hope these tools will last a life time, be cherished and passed down to future generations along with the stories they will create.
We are a true family owned business with a friendly team of staff and customers old and new will always find a warm welcome.

Gardening efficiency
I've had an oscillating how previously and found them to be very good at speeding up weeding our flower beds. This one works really well.I was disappointed in the blade holding bracket (the bit of metal attached to the wooden handle). This bracket is made of really thin metal that had distorted very quickly. Concept is fabulous, bracket let's it down. I'd look for a more robust make in future.
