(132472)Split Soil PH Tester Plant Flower Pointer Type Outdoor Soil Detector PH Tester Analyzer Description

Description
Feature:

1. Using high quality materials, quality is guaranteed

2. Durable and long life

3. Soil pH also known as soil reaction. This is the acid-base reaction of the soil solution

4. Accurate measurement

5. Wide range of applications

Specifications:

Body size: 11*6*3CM

Probe length: 16cm

Instructions:

When measuring soil pH, first insert the probe into the soil as deep as possible, leaving about 1cm above the probe.

When using, be careful not to touch the stone when inserting the electrode, and do not use excessive force, otherwise it will easily damage the electrode. Wash the electrode after use.

Soil pH:

Soil pH is also called soil reaction. It is the acid-base reaction of the soil solution. It mainly depends on the concentration of hydrogen ions in the soil solution, expressed as pH. A solution with a pH value of 7 is a neutral solution; A pH value below 7 is an acid reaction; A pH value above 7 is an alkaline reaction. Soil pH can generally be divided into the following levels:

PH Soil pH

5.5-6.5 acidity

6.5-7.5 neutral

7.5-8.5 alkaline

Strong alkaline 8.5 to 9.5

9.5 very strong alkaline

Soil pH has a great influence on soil fertility and plant growth. Many soils in the northwest and north of my country have a high pH, while the red soil in the south has a low pH. Therefore, crops and plants compatible with soil pH can be grown. For example, in areas with red soil, acid-loving tea trees can be planted, and alfalfa has a strong alkali resistance. Soil pH also has a great influence on nutrient availability. For example, the availability of phosphorus in neutral soil is important; The availability of trace elements (manganese, copper, zinc, etc.) in alkaline soil is poor. In crop production, attention should be paid to soil pH, and measures should be taken to adjust it.

What is the optimum range of soil pH for common crops

Soil pH has a lot to do with plant nutrient availability, soil structure and crop growth. First, soil organic nutrients can only be converted into fast-acting nutrients that plants can absorb through the participation of soil microorganisms, and most of the microorganisms concerned with the decomposition of organic matter grow and thrive in a nearly neutral environment, so effective soil nutrient sex efficiency is generally best when it is close to a neutral response. Second, soil pH also affects soil structure. In acidic soil, the concentration of hydrogen ions is large, and it is easy to replace calcium ions in the colloid and let them seep out, so the acidic soil is easy to harden. Alkaline soil contains a large amount of replaceable sodium ions and hydroxide ions, which scatter and harden soil particles after drying, resulting in poor alkaline soil structure. Moreover, soil pH is also closely related to plant growth. In nature, some plants have strict requirements on acidic and alkaline soil conditions. They can only grow in a specific acid and alkali range. These plants can act as an indicator for soil acidity and alkalinity, so they are called indicator plants. For example, the azalea only grows on acid soil, and it is called an acid soil indicator plant; Cypress is the indicator plant for calcareous soil, and Suaeda salsa is the indicator plant for alkaline soil. Different crop plants also have different pH ranges that are best suited for growth (see chart below). By knowing their distinct optimal growing ranges, we can choose suitable crops based on soil pH based on local conditions; Or adjust the soil according to the crops. PH at the appropriate range.
