2. How to use:
1) Align the refracting prism in the direction of the light, and adjust the diopter ring until the marking line is clear;
2) Adjust the benchmark: Before the measurement, make the standard solution (pure water), the instrument and the liquid to be tested based on the same temperature. Open the cover, then take 1~2 drops of standard droplets on the refractive prism, and press the cover lightly with your hand to draw a dividing line between light and dark. Rotate the calibration bolt to make the light-dark dividing line in the eyepiece field of view coincide with the reference line (0%);
Note: This optical instrument has been adjusted at the factory and can be used directly.
3) Open the cover, clean the surface of the prism with a soft flannel, take 1~2 drops of the solution to be tested on the refractive prism, cover the cover and press gently, and read the relative scale of the dividing line between light and dark, that is, the measured solution The concentration value and density value of the liquid.
4) After the measurement, directly wipe off the attachments on the prism surface and the cover plate with a damp flannel, and store it properly after drying.
Correction
The instrument needs to calibrate the zero point before measuring. Take a few drops of distilled water, put it on the detection prism, and turn the zero adjustment screw to adjust the dividing line to the 0% position of the scale. Then clean the inspection prism and perform inspection. Some models of instruments need to be equipped with standard solution instead of distilled water when calibrating.
Precautions
This instrument is a precision optical instrument, the following matters should be paid attention to in the use and maintenance:
1. You must be careful in use, use it strictly according to the instructions, and do not arbitrarily loosen the connecting parts of the instrument, do not drop, collide, and strictly prohibit violent vibrations.
2. After use, it is strictly forbidden to directly put it into water for cleaning. It should be wiped with a clean soft cloth. For the optical surface, it should not be bumped or scratched.
3. The instrument should be stored in a dry, non-corrosive place.
4. Avoid loss of spare parts.
