Description/Features:
The five-port assembly is used for filament changes during multi-color or multi-filament printing. One end of the five-port assembly is connected to four different tubes (up to four filaments), while the other end is connected to the top of the extruder for feeding.
Function of the (4-in-1 PTFE connector) (applies to the X1/P1/A1+ series)
1. Main function: This connector is a key component for multi-material printing (MMU, Multi-Material Unit). It serves to connect the Automatic Material Switching System (AMS) and the printer's hot end to achieve automatic switching between 4 different colors/materials.
2. Specific Function: 4 PTFE tubes (from ) are joined together so that 4 materials can enter the hot end via the same path.
3. Affected Models: X1/X1C (required); P1P/P1S (required); A1/A1 mini (Lite required)
4. Common Problems: Material change failed? Check if the connection is loose and the PTFE tube is worn.
Is the material stuck or clogged? Make sure the connection is aligned with the hot end to avoid bending.
5. Other machines: Not tested. Please confirm that the machine supports the multi-color material change function.
