The internal register set is backward compatible with the widely used and popular 16C450, supporting automatic hardware and software flow control, automatic -485 support, and software reset. The SC161S752 is an I2C/SPI bus interface connecting to a dual-channel high-performance UART, providing data rates to 5 Mbit/s, low operating and sleep current. It provides eight additional programmable I/O pins for applications, enabling seamless protocol conversion from IC bus/SPI to ,232/-485, and is fully bidirectional. The SC161S752 only supports SPI clock speeds of 4 Mbit/s, and it supports IrDA to 1.152 Mbit/s. SIR allows software to reset the UART at any independently of the hardware reset signal. Product Specifications: Dual-channel full-duplex UART, optional I2C bus or SPI interface, 3.3V or 2.5V operation, industrial temperature range: -40C to +95C, baud rates to 5 Mbit/s in 16x clock mode, automatic -485 driver direction control via RTS signal, -485 driver direction inversion, SC161S762 supports IrDA speeds to 1.152 kbit/s.
