Product Description:
This is an analog temperature sensor with a 3-pin JST connector (which we call the STEMMA connector). Different from many of our temperature sensors, this sensor has an analog output instead of an I2C output. Therefore, it is best used with a microcontroller that has an analog input, just like most microcontrollers.
These sensors are very easy to use and do not require libraries or complex configuration. Plug this board into any of our 3 - pin JST PH cables (we have cables with connector ends, alligator clips, etc.). Connect the red wire to a 3V to 5V power supply, the black wire to the ground, and the white wire to the analog input. The output voltage is 0V at -50 and 1.75V at 125. You can easily calculate the temperature based the voltage (in millivolts): Temperature ()=100*(reading in V) - 50.
Similar to the TMP36, if you set the analog reference voltage to external and then connect AREF to 3.3V for a stable analog reference, you will get the best readings from compatible devices.
