The basic rules and layout of Trivial Pursuit Master Edition remain familiar to players of the original. There are six categories of knowledge that you'll be asked to draw from: Geography, entertainment, history, art and literature, science and nature, and sports and leisure. Answer questions correctly to advance across the board and collect the wedge pieces you'll need to be crowned champion of the trivial.

But if you open the box you'll find one unfamiliar piece: the timer! This is what makes this edition of Trivial Pursuit for masters only. There's no time to confer among teammates or wait for your brain to find the right fact. If you don't give your answer in time, it's treated as incorrect.

Another new feature is the addition of picture cards, cards that have a photograph printed on them. These photos are used as a springboard to ask the question, so look carefully before you answer! For the most competitive of players, the Master Edition brings 'traditional' Trivial Pursuit right up to date.
