Calibration: The instrument needs to calibrate the zero point before measurement. Take a few drops of distilled water, put them on the detection prism, turn the zero adjustment screw to adjust the dividing line to the 0% scale position. Then wipe the detection prism clean and perform the test. Some models of instruments require standard liquid instead of distilled water when calibrating.

Instructions for use:
1) Align the refracting prism in the direction of light and adjust the eyepiece diopter ring until the marking line is clear;
2) Adjust the reference: Before measurement, first make the standard solution (pure water), the instrument and the liquid to be measured based on the same temperature. Open the cover, then take 1~2 drops of standard solution and drop them on the refracting prism, and gently the cover with your hand to draw a light-dark dividing line. Rotate the calibration bolt to make the light-dark dividing line in the eyepiece field coincide with the reference line (0%);
Note: This optical instrument has been adjusted at the factory and can be used directly.
3) Open the cover, wipe the of the prism with a soft flannel, take 1~2 drops of the measured solution and drop them on the refracting prism, cover the cover and gently, and read the relative scale of the light-dark dividing line, which is the concentration value and density value of the measured liquid.
4) After the measurement is completed, directly wipe off the attachments on the prism and the cover with a damp flannel, wait for it to dry, and store it properly.
