The RS-485 breakout board is a versatile RS-485 expansion board designed for Seeed Studio XIAO development boards.
Equipped with the TP8485E transceiver IC, this breakout board efficiently converts UART serial streams into RS-485 signals. The TP8485E operates as a half-duplex transceiver, enabling unidirectional communication up to 1200 meters.
Designed for efficiency, this breakout board only requires a single 5V or 12VDC power supply for power. Its RS-485 output is implemented via a 3-pin terminal for signal line and power connections. These features make it ideal for robust data transmission over long distances and in high-noise environments.
