Do not allow the pump to run without water, as dry running may damage the pump shaft. Before starting, fill the pump body with clean water. Do not place the pump directly in sludge at the bottom; it should be positioned higher. If the water is muddy, clean the filter cover and internal components every 2 weeks. Under normal conditions, cleaning once every 4 weeks is recommended.
