3. Difference between single-chip and dual-chip configurations: Single-chip setups use one chip, while dual-chip setups use two chips simultaneously. Dual-chip configurations offer double the read/write performance and combined storage capacity.
4. Firmware is interchangeable: Units flashed with the 1.81 single-channel firmware (slower read/write) can be flashed back to the 1.73 dual-channel firmware (faster read/write), and vice versa.
