  • The MT6826S is a new generation high-speed, high-precision angle encoder chip based on advanced anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology. This chip integrates sensing elements consisting of two pairs of AMR Wheatstone bridges placed at 45° intervals and high-performance dedicated signal processing circuitry.
  • Because AMR devices operate in the saturation region (saturation magnetic field of 300 Gauss) when used for angle measurement applications, in actual operation, the chip only responds to changes in the direction of the magnetic field parallel to the chip surface, regardless of the magnetic field strength.
  • The MT6826S provides an incremental ABZ output interface to replace traditional photoelectric encoders, with a maximum incremental output resolution of 4,096 pulses/revolution or 16,384 steps/revolution; the MT6826S also provides incremental UVW output, supporting a resolution of 1~16 pole pairs/revolution.
  • The MT6826S provides a 4-wire SPI interface for host computers or MCUs to read the 15-bit absolute angle values internally within the chip. Additionally, the single-wire PWM output provides absolute angle data with 12-bit resolution.
  • A key performance enhancement of the MT6826S is the provision of a user-friendly self-calibration mode; this mode compensates for various non-linearities caused by magnet imperfections and mechanical installation misalignments, thereby significantly improving INL characteristics.
