Having used 1st generation kindles since they first came out, I have to admit the Paperwhite is taking some getting used to. My main gripe is holding the darn thing while reading in bed & not accidentally touching the sensitive screen which turns the page. I now have a cover which helps when I hold in my left hand as there is an elasticated strap but nothing for my right hand. But I’m sure perseverance will pay off. I also have to master the technology of the thing & that may take a little longer at my age.
All in all I do like the kindle, especially being able to read without the light on. So I will persevere as I’m determined not to be defeated.

More intuitive than the previous model, with better access to Library etc. lighting is more subtle and flexible tonality. Battery life seems, so far, to be much better too. Importantly - USB-C charging means one less lead to find. An excellent upgrade in summary.
