Secrets is an exciting game set in 1930s Germany, full of political intrigue and betrayal. Players are secretly divided into two factions: the Liberals and the Fascists. The Fascists only know each other, and they work together to sow distrust and bring a ruthless leader to power. The Liberals must find and stop this "secret" before it's too late. In each round, players choose a president and a chancellor, who together will enact a law from a random game. If the government passes legislation, players must try to find out if they were betrayed or just had bad luck. Secrets also shows how government powers work during the development of fascism. Unless the Liberals succeed in saving the country from the impending war, the Fascists will use these powers to create chaos.
