OnBuy Seller Requirements
To sell with OnBuy, you must meet the following criteria:
Proven sales history
Provide a link to your company website or reputable marketplace*, showing:
- Your business name (matching your OnBuy registration)
- 50+ genuine reviews (4.5 - 5★) from the past 12 months
Product GTINs
Each product must be listed with a valid GTIN (EAN, UPC, or ISBN), unless exempt (e.g., jewellery, car parts, or private-label goods with your registered trademark).
Accepted payment options
You must have an account that supports payments in the local currency:
- UK bank account
- Payoneer
- WorldFirst
This account must be verified during sign-up.
Business verification
Required documents:
- Valid photo ID belonging to a director, officer, or legal representative
- Recent bank statement showing business address
- Proof of returns address
- Limited companies: Proof of entity (e.g., registration certificate, business/trade licence)
- Sole proprietors: Proof of registration with tax authority (e.g., self-employment certificate)
VAT registration (if applicable)
Selling in the UK: UK VAT number is required, unless you're based in a VAT-exempt country and not already registered for VAT in the UK. View all exempt countries
Selling in the EU: EU VAT number is required if you're based in or dispatch goods from the country of sale. Otherwise, OnBuy will collect VAT on eligible orders and supply our IOSS number
Returns & refunds
- Provide a local returns address or cover the cost of any overseas returns (e.g., Freepost or collection service)
- 30-day full refund policy required (exclusions apply for personalised/perishable goods)
- Up to 180-day return period for faulty goods

For protected brands, proof of authorisation or authentication is required
- Product details must be in the local language
- All taxes, customs duties, and delivery fees must be included the listing price
