The internal mini SAS cable is designed to connect a 12 Gbps host bus adapter or a controller with SFF-8643 to 4 SATA drives; the Mini SAS HD to SATA adapter cable is used between the high-density controller card and directly connected storage devices. Hybrid high-density SAS to SATA, equipped with 36-pin SFF 8643 connector and 4 x 7-pin SATA connector, can provide 3 Gbps and 6 Gbps compatibility while migrating to a 12 Gbps storage area network system.
The HD mini SAS lead cable is designed with acetate cloth tape to relieve stress on the slender ribbon cable to protect the cable from stiffness; the braided mesh sheath covers half of the cable for easy routing; P1 to P4 marks provide simple Identification; low-profile SATA connectors have easy-to-grip pedals with stainless steel latches to prevent accidental disconnection and reduce vibration.
