The NRF-PPK2, or Power Profiler Kit II, is a versatile current measurement tool by Nordic Semiconductor. It accurately measures currents from microamperes to 1A for external hardware and all Nordic DKS. Powered by a standard 5V USB cable, it delivers to 500mA, and requires two USB cables for 1A output, making it ideal for precise power profiling in various applications.
PPK2 supports ammeter mode and power mode. In ammeter mode, the external power supply must provide a VCC level of 0.8-5V to the device under test (DUT). In power mode, the PPK2 provides VCC levels of 0.8-5V, and the onboard regulator provides current to 1A for external applications. PPK2 also measures low sleep currents, high operating currents, and short circuit current peaks for all Nordic DKS.
