This replacement hood release latch is a repair for the Part Number plastic latch which will often crack and break off the end of the cable. This can be installed in 5 to 10 minutes.
This sale is NOT for the entire cable, just for the replacement latch handle that fits on the end of the cable.
Machined from a solid block of aluminum.
The normal cable replacement would take between 1-1/2 and 2 hours. This replacement latch can be installed in a few minutes. It requires the removal of the corner plastic kick plate. Then about 1Inch of the remaining plastic must be trimmed off the end of the cable with wire cutters.Slip it over the end of the cable, tighten the 2 set screws, replace the corner plastic kick plate, and you are finished.
