Designed to charge different battery types, this board offers flexibility for different power sources, such as USB, or solar. It is a practical upgrade from MCP73833 or MCP73831 based charging boards and offers the following features:
USB Type C port: Works with any computer or power supply at 5V and to 1A.
Separate /Solar input: Supports 5-18V and automatically adjusts the current solar panels.
Adjustable charging current: Default 1A, can be set to 500mA or 250mA.
Setting battery chemistry: between 3.7V LiPoly/LiIon and 3.2V LiFePO4.
Power path management: Prioritizes charging the load over the battery to extend its lifespan.
Regulated 4.5V output: Keeps the load output voltage constant at a maximum of 4.5V.
Three status LEDs: Charging, error and power indicators.
Thermistor support: Thermal protection by adjusting charging speed.
