Levenhuk - 72111 - Nelson 8x42 Monocular with Reticle and Compass

The Levenhuk Nelson 8x42 marine scope is perfect for anyone who enjoys boating, fishing or owns their own small boat. A compact optical instrument with 8x magnification and 42mm aperture. This makes it easy to see distant objects. This telescope is also suitable for studying nearby objects; the close focus is 3 m.

The case has a built-in compass and a rangefinder. Since there is no scale illumination, we recommend using the compass in daylight. The rangefinder and a special formula can be used to determine the distance to an object of known size or the size (height) of the object at a known distance.

The circular arc scale is visible in the eyepiece. The compass shows the direction to the object in degrees. The division is 1. North is 360, south is 180, east is 90 and west is 270.

The optics are made of high-quality BaK-4 glass. The lenses are fully multi-coated and deliver a high-quality, bright image - even in poor weather. The waterproof plastic housing is filled with nitrogen. This prevents the lenses from fogging up.

This telescope offers a wide field of view of 120 m at a distance of 1,000 m. The eyepiece offers a wide diopter adjustment range.

We recommend equipping this telescope with the floating Levenhuk FS10 carrying strap when using it near water: thanks to its eye-catching color, this practical accessory is easy to see even in cloudy water and prevents the optical instrument from sinking or otherwise getting lost.
