You both have the same objective, to get a line of for pieces with a common feature, (shape, size, colour or solid/hollow) but you get to pick your opponents piece before they play which makes it really interesting. And frustrating when you get it wrong and give the game away. I've played this with my kids since they were about 5 but I play it with adults too. I'd highly recommend it.
